7 Reasons Why You Should Hire a Virtual Assistant
Ever wonder why a small business owner should hire a Virtual Assistant? In this post, I will lay the 7 reasons why you should hire a Virtual Assistant.
A Virtual Assistant or VA (for short) is an independent contractor who provides numerous services, such as administrative, technical, or at times works as a creative assistance to their clients. A VA is an independent entrepreneur and a small business owner. I recently started my VA business after seeing The Virtual Savvy‘s page on various platforms of social media, and it prompted me to start my own business.
Although the profession gives the entrepreneur a degree of independence, the work provided to clients are on a contractual basis, and/or a long-lasting relationship.

Here are a couple of reasons why you need a VA for your business:
You do NOT like doing the administrative work
If you are like my husband, where you cannot deal with paperwork, then hiring a VA will take this load off your shoulders. You started your business because you had a vision. A VA can take all these tasks off your hands, and you can focus on what is important, managing and growing your business.
You do not want to hire a Full-Time Employee
The best thing about hiring a VA is that is SAVES you money! Say bye-bye to fringe benefits such as insurance benefits, unemployment, health insurance, vacation or sick time to pay. A VA gets paid for the hours provided. VA’s are great in managing their time, so your money is well spent.
You want to have more time for other things
If your business is not growing like you hoped due to you focusing on errands and things that do not help grow your business, its time to outsource that work. It is okay to ask for help, I do, and there is no shame in that. We are human beings, therefore, we need support from others in order to thrive and succeed. A VA can help you take the load off those pesky tasks, and help you focus on what is important, growing your business more!
You cannot deal with social media
I am going to tell you a secret, my hubby cannot for the life of him work with social media. Shocking! I know! If you are in the same boat as him, no worries, I totally understand. Social media is constantly changing, and if you cannot keep up with those changes, you feel out of the loop. Besides, you are running a business! You have more important things to do than Social Media! However, social media nowadays it is a necessary evil. A VA can help you manage your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest accounts! A savvy VA can assist you in keeping your social media in tip-top shape, and help you promote your business to new and old customers!
You HATE doing errands
Yup, even booking you that vacation trip, or medical appointment, a VA can do that for you! Need to do grocery shopping? Shop for office supplies? A VA has your back! She/he can do that for you. Rest easy that everything will be taken care off.
A Virtual Assistant is already proficient
A Virtual Assistant is already proficient with the latest tools and technology to do the job. No more time spent training employees. Hear! Hear!
A Virtual Assistant’s relationship with each client is protected
The relationship is protected by a Confidentiality Agreement that you sign on the contract before work can start. You can be confident in the integrity of your VA. No more office gossip.
Is Hiring a Virtual Assistant Worth It?
When working with a Virtual Assistant the true costs of hiring an employee versus outsourcing to a Virtual Assistant are great! Not only do you benefit by having a more qualified, more experienced professional on hand, but once the math is done, the Virtual Assistant often comes in at a lower price!
